I live in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and have very recently acquired a Vauxhall 10-4. It is registered as a 1937 model but it has 16" wheels and from what I understand, these were introduced in 1940. The vehicle is not running (yet) but does not appear to need too much work to get it on the road again.

Hi Tony,
You're right about the wheel size. '37 was 17x2.75. '40 was 16x3.00
For your interest there is a wealth of info for all Vauxhall models on the 'Vauxpedia' website

Thanks Chris! Yes, I have taken a look at Vauxpedia...that's actually where I picked up the wheel size difference.

I've done quite a bit of hunting on the web for information on the 10-4 and for owners of 10-4's but it strikes me that there isn't too much available out there.

Do you have any suggestions for obtaining parts? I will need door and window seals for starters but not sure where to source them (that's if there are any companies making clones).

Hi Mike

Good to hear there is at least one other Vauxhall owner here in SA! I will have a look at the book tonight.

Regards
Tony
